Highlights:

·        Public relation potential moderate.

·        Ranch is owned by an absentee owner that is a Montana native.

·        The ranch has established a water quality improvement plan to eliminate the possibility of contamination of state waters from the corral and feedlot system used in the production of registered Red Angus and commercial Black Angus cattle.

·        Ranch operates on several BLM and Forest Service allotments that are grazed in common with other producers.

·        Ranch manager is on the Board of Directors of the Montana Stock Growers Association.

·        Wildlife is abundant on the ranch and includes mule deer, elk, antelope, prairie dogs, rattle snakes, upland game birds, water fowl and many other game and non-game species of wildlife.

·        The old Carroll Family Homestead, which used to operate as a stage stop on the road from Dillon to Jackson, MT is also owned by the Hamilton Ranches.  This is a location of a historical site preservation agreement and interpretive site for the Undaunted Stewardship Program.

·        The ranch also owns the only location in Montana where a Kentucky Derby winner was born and bred.  This site is known throughout Montana as The Round Barn.

·        There are also many other historical sites that are included within the landholdings of the Hamilton Ranches that are part of Montana’s Indian, settlers, mining, and ranching history.
